Ryland buys Telcare

Telcare becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Ryland Communications Ltd.

2015

Ongoing expansion

Company growth leads to taking on additional office space in Beaufort House.

2003

Company rebrands

Ryland Engineering becomes a limited company and rebrands as Ryland Communications Ltd.

2001

Moving offices

Expansion takes us to new offices at Beaufort House in Medway.

1997

Telcare is born

Formed Telcare Ltd, a telecoms maintenance company providing SLA’s and a 24/7 helpdesk.

1995

First member of staff

Ryland move into our first office in Dartford and employ our first member of staff (who is still with us today).

1991

Ryland Engineering is born

Our story begins when Ryland Engineering was founded by David and Lisa Settle.

Supporting our local community is very important to us

Kent and Medway have a diverse collection of creative people, with great business ideas. We believe in encouraging entrepreneurs who get behind their ideas and bring them to fruition, just as we did. We remember the hard work and sleepless nights!

We actively support local students, who will be the next generation of businessmen and women and are endlessly grateful to the older generation who have walked the path before us.

Work-related learning plays a large part in how we support our next generation of businessmen and women in our local schools, where we assist with careers guidance and mock interviews.

We are delighted to support the Friends of Wisdom Hospice whenever we can by sponsoring and taking part in both online and offline fundraising events.

Encouraging entrepreneurs

Over the years, our founders, Lisa & David, have supported hundreds of businesses. Whether it is, by sharing their knowledge and business experience in networking groups or speaking at local events. Lisa has also supported many Kent business awards as a judge, and together they have encouraged and inspired Kent businesses throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

Giving back to the community

We are strong advocates of community causes, and there are several close to our hearts such as the Friends of Wisdom Hospice, the Community Christmas Medway Lunch as well as supporting historical projects in Medway. There are many opportunities across Kent to get involved in and we wholeheartedly recommend taking part; there’s always something to learn whilst giving back.
